Step into the open-plan kitchen and dining room at The Elms, and you’ll immediately feel it, this is the true 'heart of our home'. A beautifully large, light and airy space, stretching from the front to the back of the property, it’s designed for laughter, shared moments and unforgettable family meals.
This is where sleepy mornings begin with coffee around the table, where children perch excitedly waiting for breakfast, and where generations gather to cook, chat and reconnect. With ample cupboards for everyone’s supplies and generous worktop space, there’s room for many hands to help or simply to relax with a glass of wine while someone else takes the lead.
Our well equipped self-catering kitchen is ideal for group stays and multi-generational holidays. The large electric range cooker and hob make cooking for twelve a pleasure, whether you’re preparing a hearty family roast, a celebratory feast, or a relaxed evening meal after a day exploring Devon. Large pots and pans are provided, along with a microwave/combi oven and undercounter fridge for everyday convenience.
And because holidays are for relaxing, not washing up, we’ve included a dishwasher, so no one has to miss out on precious time together. For families with little ones, our two high chairs help ensure even the smallest guests are comfortably included at the table.
Just off the kitchen, a separate utility room offers a washing machine and additional fridge freezer, perfect for longer stays, stocking up for group meals, or managing sandy clothes after beach days.
Of course, if you fancy a night off cooking, there are cafés, restaurants and takeaway options just a short drive away, all within easy reach of The Elms.
After dinner, wander out to the hot tub, let the children enjoy the play area, or head to the games room for evening fun all just steps away from where the day began.
At The Elms, the kitchen isn’t just a place to cook.
It’s where memories are made, stories are shared, and your family holiday truly comes together.
Your Devon escape starts here.
